From Sample to Supply

Every material behaves differently. Salinity, pH, solids content, additives and mixing conditions can all influence product performance. We evaluate the material, screen suitable grades and develop a practical treatment approach around the customer’s operating requirements.

Material Review

We review a representative sample, operating conditions and required outcome, including free liquid, solids content, pH, conductivity and any known additives or contaminants.

Product and Dose Testing

Suitable grades are screened to establish an initial application rate and assess absorption speed, gel strength and final material consistency.

Application Method

We recommend how and where the selected product should be added and mixed, taking into account the customer’s tanks, bins, conveyors, excavators, dosing equipment or production process.

Technical Documentation

Selected grades are supported by the relevant Technical Data Sheet, Safety Data Sheet and batch Certificate of Analysis. Testing outcomes and recommended application rates can also be documented for customer review.

Supply and Ongoing Support

We coordinate local inventory, packaging and delivery through our Australian logistics network. Further testing and technical support are available as material composition, moisture levels or operating requirements change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about superabsorbent polymers, product selection, testing and supply.

What is a superabsorbent polymer?

A superabsorbent polymer, commonly referred to as SAP, absorbs and retains liquid within a gel structure. Industrial grades can be used to control free liquid in sludge, slurry and other high-moisture materials.

How do I know which product and application rate to use?

The most suitable grade and application rate depend on the liquid chemistry, moisture content, solids, additives, mixing conditions and required outcome. AuraChem can test a representative sample to provide an initial product and dose recommendation.

Will SAP work with saline or chemically complex liquids?

SAP performance can be affected by salinity, pH and dissolved chemicals. AuraChem screens suitable grades against the actual material rather than relying solely on absorption figures measured using clean water.

How is SAP applied to liquid waste?

SAP can be added to tanks, bins, skips, conveyors or other mixing processes. The appropriate addition point, mixing method and contact time depend on the material, available equipment and required treatment rate.

Does solidification change the waste classification?

Solidification improves the physical consistency and handling of a waste stream but does not automatically change its regulatory classification. Transport, disposal and receiving-facility requirements should be confirmed for the treated material.

Are AuraChem products stocked in Australia?

Selected AuraChem products are stocked in Australia for shorter lead times and nationwide supply. Available grades, packaging and delivery requirements can be confirmed with our team.

Not Sure Which Product Suits Your Material?

Tell us about your liquid, sludge, slurry or manufacturing requirements. AuraChem can help assess the material, identify suitable product options and recommend the next step.
